Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, the French city of Puy-deDomme on August 9, 1976. Audrey Tautou is the fourth child in a family of four. Her parents encouraged her parents, dentist, and a teacher who were both teachers to follow her love of the theatre. This contrasted to an earlier desire to be a primatologist due to the fact that she adored monkeys. She rose to prominence as a child actor quickly and achieved huge success. Prior to beginning her acting career, Tautou was a participant in Jeunes Premiers which was a French show on TV that focuses on talent that was sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. Also, she was awarded the the title of Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou was raised in the context of a Catholic family and attended church, even though she went to school in The Institut Catholique de Paris. Alongside her acting career, Tautou pursued modelling and was the model of L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. In addition to her acting profession she is also interested in photography. Recently, she exhibited a selection photos during the Arles Film Festival, under the name Superficial. Her photographs are largely about the spotlight and fame. The exhibit also includes self-portraits as well. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and stardom with her major part in the film Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie has been a box office hit internationally and has been lauded at numerous award events around the globe. Amelie has been the most financially successful french-language film to hit the US. Later, in the same year, she appeared in British dramas including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet Un long dimanche de fiancailles. Then Tautou moved to Hollywood in the United States, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
